Project

The project

How TorbScript itself is made - its design records, the design of the toolchain, the roadmap, how to contribute, and how this website is built.

These pages are for somebody working on TorbScript rather than with it. To learn the language or look something up, the documentation is the place.

What belongs here#

The sections a reader of the language does not need: why and how a feature is designed, how the toolchain is built and released, and the rules for writing this documentation. They stay out of the sidebar of the reference, and the search finds them from a page of the project.

The sections#

  • Design records - the specification behind each feature, with a status line that says how much of it exists today.
  • How the toolchain is built - the architecture of the compiler, the type checker and the back end.
  • Contributing - building the toolchain from source, cutting a release, and writing a page of this documentation.
  • The website - the pages of torb.dev around the documentation, and how torb docs site writes them.
